Guy students who have just completed 7th-12th grade and would like to serve as a counselor for the week of Sportsworld (June 23-27). SIGN UPS CLOSE APRIL 27TH! Sportsworld exists as a local missions opportunity for the students of Denton Bible Church grades 6th – 12th to minister to elementary aged kids in our community. Because we desire to be above reproach with the counselors and crew who will be entrusted with the campers during the week of Sportsworld, we have some criteria in place for those counselors and crew members. Expectations/Requirements 1. You must attend BOTH meetings in order to serve. June 20th at 6:00pm to 8:00pm and June 21st at 10:00am to 12:00pm. 2. Paperwork is due by May 12th at 5:00pm. If all paperwork is not received by then, you will not be able to serve at Sportsworld. 3. Filling out and submitting this application does not guarantee you a spot at Sportsworld. 4. Counselors must have just completed a grade from 7th – 12th grade the previous school year 5. Counselors must be regularly involved in DBSM activities, Sunday mornings, and Wednesday nights, for a minimum of 3 months. The ONLY exception is Student Choir. If they’re in the student choir they are also required for DBC to be their home church. 6. Counselors must fill out and have a satisfactory report on a background check and complete our SAT Training. 7. Counselors must be able to attend all 5 days of camp.
